Advice needed Asia (MNL) - Europe (AMS/TXL)
My usual goto low price Oneworld option, Business Class MH MNL-KUL-LHR then separate BA LHR-EUR is not attractive right now as no MH sale as on my last 3x bookings Asia-LHR
(Looking at MNL-HKG-LHR-AMS on 24/apr, return 1st or 2nd May, although any dates supply availability at $2600)
Looking under BA.COM, the all in MNL-HKG-LHR-AMS CX and two BA flights each way rtn is favourable us$1882 +712tax = us$2594 as no need to
a)buy LHR-EUROPE rtn flights I usually do with MH tickets
b)luggage gets checked through to AMS so less grief and quick connection and misconnect gets covered by BA
c)Unlike on my MH flights I'll get the welcome BA Gold 100% avios bump Asia-LHR-AMS e/w, and 440TPs start for new TP year as my year rolls 9th March
Same rate for whichever BA flight/metal, so asking for advice on which is best experience 777 v A380 and making best use of which flights I select ? ... also option of B787 LHR-KUL on return
(and maybe likely loading regards any liklihood of foc upgrade to F as a lowly BA Gold on this elite heavy route)
