Do you have a long layover in HEL that would justify needing access to your checked luggage? You might be able convince them to short-check it by stating your travel plans have changed, for work reasons, and you need to be in a city easily accessible via rail from HEL that flying would not make sense.
Beyond a reasonable reason I don't see AY short checking your luggage.
