Question is - what do you do with your carry on. The only time I had that exercise was when my flight was delayed and I simply left my carry on at a lounge chair.
If lounges provided lockers, that would be much easier. Last year I crossed MUC twice from back to forth and was surprised that the building is actually 1km long.
