My accts weren't connected automatically, probally because i had a middle name in my AS acct but not in my VA one. I called mileage plan and they were totally confused about what I was asking them to do. Said multiple times why would i need to link them, it just happens. Lol.
Anyways they took my number and said they would send it to someone in the "backoffice" never to be heard from again.

It's my understanding that two accounts won't actually be linked.
We were trying to identify those who we believe already have both an MP account and a VX account, so that they don't receive duplicate messaging from us.
And I believe next week is when the ability to transfer miles from VX to AS starts, and the status matches will all take place.
