BA 1494 LHR - GLA

With a very full flight volunteers were looked for to put their hand baggage in the hold from free. - It really does not pay to follow the rules. Free hold baggage and priority boarding.

However well situated in the line for Priority Boarding when we did get the go I did not hang around. I had quite a shock when I saw someone in my seat 1A well actually it was their seat I was just in auto pilot mode... I was in 1F

It did not take long for the plane to fill up.

And the crew managed to get all the baggage stowed with a minimum of fuss. 20:15 we pushed back bang on time...

It was a long taxi with very little waiting at the end of 27L for our take off.

A direct routing up over the Peak District, Lake District, and the Southern Uplands lead us to the east and north of Glasgow to line up on runway 23.

The service was quick and efficient, with the usual selection of crisp or biscuits with a drink from the bar.

We arrived in 10 minutes early and were soon offloading into an empty terminal.

Baggage was not too long in coming through and it was home time.

ps glad I flew yesterday and not today with Fog at LHR
