How are the rooms?
Modern. Slightly larger than a typical HI room (~4m wide x 10m deep). Comfortable ottoman, large work desk area, 42" HDTV, fridge, microwave.

How is the exec. lounge?
N/A.

What was good and what was bad?
Good:
-Brand new property, clean, modern interior
-Modern room, clean, all furniture in good condition
-Spacious, bright bathroom, decent shower pressure
-10-minute walk to GM Centre Oshawa
-10 minute drive to Oshawa GO station then a 60-minute train ride to downtown Toronto
-Pleasant lobby & breakfast area
-Nice heated pool
-Intelligent key card security to enter automatic doors from main road

Bad:
-Downtown Oshawa is rather depressing, lots of shady characters abound
-Misleading having Toronto in their title --> it's 65km west of the hotel!

Value for $ or IHG Rewards Club Points? Would you return?
On pointbreaks, a steal. Rates are a bit high for the area, typically around $130.
