Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Standard room - no upgrade

How are the rooms?
Others have discussed on other threads - as I was not upgraded I got a rather small room which was comparable to the lower-quality HIs I have stayed in. However the bathroom amenities were very good.

How is the exec. lounge?

What was good and what was bad?
- Was given this card as a Spire non-Ambassador

- Had to agree to pay ¥1600/24 hours on the wifi login page, but no money was asked for on check-out.
- The front desk person checking in said "Thank you for your loyalty" about 20 times and after getting to the room, she called up to ask if it was ok and said that phrase again about 5 times.
- Offered "Spire" rate of ¥3000 for breakfast in the lobby Cascade cafe, apparently normally ¥4200
- The lobby had a heavy smell of smoke although this was also the case for the other Japanese hotels I stayed in. The non-smoking room did not smell.

Used free night vouchers which were about to expire, and needed to stay around the Roppongi area, so it was ok.
Wouldn't pay 50000 points/night for what I received.
Therefore I probably wouldn't return unless I become an Ambassador.
