That would add injury to insult! Bad enough that LH doesn't have the software to allow customers an opportunity to navigate the intricacies of its new fare structure, it then charges them extra to call in and deal with this shortcoming!
I haven't tried it, but maybe they can waive the fee if you tell them you cannot book it online? Or use a travel agent?
I know that you want to do it on lh.com, but that is just not going to work. So I am only trying to give you suggestions of other ways to do it.
