I am looking more closely at car rentals. I am holding a Hertz reservation that promises a Suzuki Jimmy SUV 4x4 automatic transmission "or similar".
Another option is to go with a company called Economy - recommended by a FlyerTalk user - and that get me a Hyundai Tucson IX with automatic transmission "or similar". This would cost less because of using AMEX points but that is not a determining factor.
Do I need the 4x4 when going from San Jose to the volcano, national parks, and white-water rafting?
