PDB: yes
FEBO: probably*

I was originally seated in C+, but saw the usual D1 TCON PDBs handed out in J. Meanwhile in C+ we received the Luvo menus:

Then we went back to the gate for a 4-hour MX and ended up swapping to a 9-row 763 and I got upgraded

Nov. 13, 11:30pm DL488(bis) JFK-SFO

PDB: no (not that anyone was complaining)
FEBO: yes (*so I would guess the first time as well)

At the gate they told me "there will not be a meal service, do you still want the upgrade?" But it turned out there was after all ^ however they had no menus. FA said that by visual inspection the entree choices appeared to be "chicken, lamb, or potato croquettes".

Starter:
  • I think Marcona almonds with a zesty spicy coating
  • Ballast Point Sculpin
  • typical D1 salad with a ginger-based dressing (meh)
  • smoked salmon with cucumber and some sweetish vegetable I couldn't identify, but it all went very well together

I chose the chicken entree, which came in some sort of sauce, a vaguely pasta-like starch, and what I think might have been collard greens (I would dismally fail the Hell's Kitchen/Gordon Ramsay palate test ) I enjoyed this and it seemed like a solid effort but it wasn't amazing or anything.

For dessert I had the D1 fruit/cheese plate; there was also some ice cream option.
