It could be awful. For US-bound travel, the minimum connect times would probably get worse, and the check-in cut-off times may also get worse.

And the cost to staff US CBP employees at airports outside of the US is more expensive than it is to staff them at US airports.

More money, and more time for the ticketed portion of the trip? I do not welcome that.
