With all of the enhanced competition in the market, it seems that a lot of people are questioning whether to renew this card. Too bad it's so ugly. I bet if they redesigned the card to be perhaps clear polycarbonate (or perhaps with a slight blue tint) some people might be more compelled to keep the card, simply because it would look awesome.
Perhaps a little superficial, but it would be one of the most attractively unique cards on the market and the unappealing looks have been mentioned before. The card itself offers some good benefits, it just needs a little something to push it over the edge for some people. I think strong aesthetic appeal would be a cost-effective way to do that. It's worked out well for the CSP.
On the other hand, I always had the feeling that City National didn't really care much about getting people interested in their card. They always seemed to be more actively discouraging rather than encouraging it. Odd.
