I don't know about Lima airport in particular, but if you're on two tickets you don't have a connection but rather two unrelated flights. If you have checked luggage I don't see how you can avoid immigration and then rechecking bags. If you miss your flight you'll have to burly a new ticket. A 2.5 hour window seems pretty risky to me. Thanks for the reply. I have no checked luggage, just carryon. I understand they are unrelated, but my question is if there is a way for me to get the boarding pass for the flight from Lima to the US within the international transit sector, to avoid the process of immigration to get to the checkin counter
