That's all great, but then why does BA allow you to put in your AA number to get benefits, but credit the flight to BA? Still
I'm not sure what you're suggesting here. In order to credit to BA, you need to put in the BA number before the flight. So the only benefit might be free seat selection? Put in AA #; pick seat; put in BA #.
