oh, let me rephrase this. HELL YES!
This is the last ticket. same price as MAD or FCO, but leaving from AMS - which is a 200 meter walk + 12 min metro ride + 7,5 min train ride from home.
apart from the telephone faffing today, the trip itself will be pleasurable.
Truly the silver lining. Exactly what I had been hoping for.
But... next viking fare - I'll buy more of them... if I had done that last spring, I wouldn't have had to go through all this now and would have saved me 600 EUR or so per person...
