Yes/no? If you link accounts which gives you highest status based on the two programs, if you booked at a Marriott w/ the Marriott # you'd get the points/bennies (and vice versa), but you'd have to use the elite # of the property/brand you're staying at. You can't book Marriott w/ SPG# & expect bennies (and vice versa). However, if you then wanted to redeem points for a property in other program you're going to have to transfer the points you earned w/ that stay to the other program.
