I have an elderly relative who is going from ORD to HKG via PVG AA->CX. I've requested wheelchair service. Even if the bags say HKG, I should have her pick up bags on the carousel, go through immigration, and go to the check-in counters on the departure level, go through security. In other words, it's a slightly worse version of the LAX international connection experience, right?
