We stayed for 8 nights as a points stay mid-August. 2 adults and a 22 month old.

There are 2 pools, the one close to the main hotel building is the kids one where they can use inflatables so gets really lively. We spent our time at the lower pool which is salt water and one end is shallow like a beach that you can walk into.

There's a kids club but you can't leave little ones there. We went in quite often to play with her - there's a slide, a couple of playhouses, lots of scooters/trikes and a few books. The older ones have activities through the day

We didn't dine in the hotel restaurants as it was never worthwhile when the wee one would get bored and want to explore. There's a pizza place and a dino supermarket just across the road so we would do takeways and eat on our balcony. There's a fridge in the room.

Gold member and received an upgrade one room category, which meant that we got robes and slippers... Some of the rooms would be quite noisy due to the entertainment in the evenings, but ours (216) was very quiet. We didn't have lounge access. Topped up water bottles twice a day, but easier to buy 60c 2 litre bottles from the shop.

There is an awesome roof terrace on the top floor, with a full panorama. It's separate to any club lounge, anyone can take a lift to the top floor and see.

You can walk along the coast to the Fanabe/Torviscas/Duque strip in 15/20 minutes which is a bit more exciting than the Caleta end of things if you want to go out and socialise.

The beach just outside the hotel is rocky and quite poor, but the Duque beach was nice.

We hired a car from the airport with autoreisen, and parked it in the streets around the hotel. Lots of space, and free parking there. We picked it up from TFS, and dropped in TFN after staying in Puerto de la Cruz a few nights.

We met a few guests who thought Tenerife a little dull compared to Fuerteventura where they'd stayed other times. That was for older kids though - we thought La Caleta was great for little ones if you are happy to stay with them all the time.

Cot-wise, it was a standard spanish issue metal tube one. They remind me of hospital gurneys, but she slept well enough.

Overall good times. It's not a full 5 star really, but the facilities are quite good and we had a good stay.
