The biggest benefit of business class is that you have a confirmed seat vs coach where tickets are unrestricted. This means that if there's an event and the trains are packed you are guaranteed a seat in business class, whereas if you were in the back you may find yourself standing. This is really the only time I'd buy business class on this route.
