In the case of using miles & co-pay to upgrade an international flight, if the upgrade goes through in advance (and I understand that's a big if!), are you then treated as a confirmed business class passenger in the case of IRROPs and rebooking?
I tried searching, so my apologies if I've missed something obvious, but everything I found seemed to be on domestic sticker upgrades.
