They have basically the same restriction of 11-13 kg being the maximum. That's usually around 1 year, so although BA offers to infants up to age 2, practically they're not.

That being said, LY is annoying. We requested it for our flight in September and were told, "no, since your child will be 8 months old." I responded (through my travel agent):
  1. The maximum is 9 months, so we should be fine
  2. My baby will still be under 8 months both ways, and you know this since you have her passport info!
  3. If you're nervous due to the weight (which they said was an issue), we flew last and a 10 month old baby had the bassinet who weighed 10 kg. She will be nowhere close considering she's been in the 6th percentile since birth!

They relented, though we'll see on board what happens
