Spring Reading Recommendations

The TORONTO STAR has a special supplement on T1New in today's paper. It features a fold open spread cut-away rendering of the terminal with indications of how one gets "processed" through the place. Both the STAR and the POST also have features on the artwork found throughout the terminal. For the most part quite positive reviews about the aesthetics of the place and appropriateness of the artworks. Another feature reveals how the parking garage is the most advanced in the world, with each space having a sensor above it to determine if it is occupied or not. If not, display boards at the head of each row will direct you to the next available nearby space. So if you wonder how your PIF was wasted, that's another example.

For those who may still remember CANADIAN PACIFIC AIRLINES, the March/April issue of AIRLINERS has a nice few feature pages about this great airline. Even I didn't know CP had ordered a pair of deHavilland Comets in the early 50s, but that the order was cancelled after CP's first one crashed on take-off from its home field in England.
