Flying to SIN in a few weeks in F...first CX flight ever for a wedding. Groom just decided to do his bachelor party in Bangkok. It's an AA award flight so I can't change the final destination without forking over another 50K miles or so. There is a flight that goes to SIN from HKG via BKK. I'm not checking a bag so is it safe to assume that I get off in BKK on CX 713 and be ok?

The other option is to fly to SIN, take one of the budget flights to BKK/DMK from SIN but that seems silly to me if CX713 is open for award travel.
