Regarding primary insurance, there was an FT thread I was reading where a couple of readers had used both Amex Premium insurance and one provided by Chase Sapphire on separate instances and they both thought Amex was much more easier to deal with.
I've had great experiences with the CSP insurance, and Amex premium insurance costs extra. I don't think it's fair to compare something included in the annual fee to something that costs $25 extra every time you rent.
Also, Amex excludes Australia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, and New Zealand, while Chase has no country exclusions.
