Good point. If you're in English-speaking lands there's no reason for a bilingual card. I would say less than 10% of my total travel has been to English-speaking areas so I tend to think of language issues as normal in travel.
I do try to learn a few words wherever I go, but we've narrowed down. Africa, India, parts of Asia, Antarctica - we probably won't visit again. And some places, I can speak enough of the language to get the information across.
