Did you get the frog eggs? I'll always remember my first-ever night market which was in Beijing in 1992, with my dish of fried pigeon on a stick.
I beleive the "frog eggs" are a joke as they had them all over and upon closer inspection the frogs floating were limes and it looked like what they scooped out was big chunks of a clear-ish jelly type material with the liquid into cups.
Sort of like the "bucket of dirt" we would get as kids which was chocolate mousse with Oreo powder on top and some gummy worms.
