BEST WESTERN Plus Icarai Design Hotel
Hello:
I booked the BEST WESTERN Plus Icarai Design Hotel for my stay in Rio during the Olympics. I wanted a chain hotel (no Air BNB for me) and, with the IOC taking most of the rooms, this is one of the only options.
Apparently it is across the bay from Rio, so one will have to take a ferry. Some of the events I am attending start early or end late. Do you think the ferry service will have more trips during the Olympics and extend their operating hours? Or will I have to take a taxi?
Also, I understand the hotel is not yet built. It is still under construction. Should I be worried (any insights from anyone 'on the ground' there in Rio)?
