That is very unlikely. FA have to follow protocol, esp. when other seats in Y are available.
All the seats around me were taken. There could have been seats further back (as we were in the forward cabin for Economy), I don't know.

They didn't offer to move us to any other seat.
Why would you ask the cabin crew to move. If you are in the same travel class, it should be no problem to simply move by yourself.
