My wife & I fly into Zurich next week and head over to Lauterbrunnen where we spend 2 nights, then we spend 2 nights in Murren and finally 2 nights in Lucerne. While in Lauterbrunnen, we hope to visit Jungfrau and while at Murren we plan to visit Schilthorn.
Could you recommend what would be the best rail passes for us? Are we better off just buying spot tickets?

http://www.jungfrau.ch/en/sommer/tou...e/experiences/ various options are noted: you can buy 3, 4 or more consecutive JUNGFRAU REGIONAL day passes; in addition (until mid October), the first few trains in the morning, to the TOP, are discounted--you have to "fiddle" with the options.
Outside the Jungfrau region you are NOT doing enough traveling to get a full SWISS PASS (which does NOT cover the expensive part of your trip). 2nd class on SBB is very good and a lot cheaper than 1st.
But, the weather at the base (Interlaken) may be "great", at the TOP it may not be good--plan your day to the TOP factoring in weather predictions.
[A big chunk of the last leg to the TOP is through a tunnel.]
