That's my recollection. I remember being a little annoyed and turning off my wifi. LTE is not much slower for what I do with my mobile phone. No thanks on that ad, OAK.
Savvy airports and hotels are recognizing that anything more than a quick agreement to terms and conditions is likely to annoy their customers. Wifi is getting more and more like an ordinary electrical outlet.
