Just stayed as DIAMOND with my wife and I at the Hilton Bayfront San Diego:
Received 2 Vouchers for Continental breakfast ONLY with the $10 option to upgrade to Full. While my wife was upset as we had never received vouchers for “just” a continental breakfast even as Gold at Hilton properties (not at Boston nor Times Square) and she is not a big “carb person”, she actually did appreciate the fruit, GF options and some shaved meats and cheeses that was labeled “continental”. The additional $10 for full would have included of course omelets / eggs and a variety of turkey and regular sausage options as well.
While the continental breakfast was a bit above average, this was our 1st trip as Diamond and would have loved to had received the Full Breakfast. Like we asked at check-in and got no answer “why even get to Diamond if can’t enjoy a full breakfast but got full as Gold at other Hilton properties”.
Thanks to the great folks here on this wiki was not shocked.
