Nothing really new or innovative here (even the name of their new fourth tier is really derivative). I'll be making Platinum this year thanks to a international Business Class trip and I'll have no chance to keep it next year, but I may make a run for Platinum Pro just for fun and because I'll be close.
On another note, I am glad I'm a Million Miler, at least I'll keep some status no matter what my spend. Even in a good year it's rare I spend more than $2000 on AA.
