Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?

Booked standard room and received Queen Club room with lounge access

How are the rooms?

The room was OK. Not large but not a bad size by London standards. There were some minor maintenance issues.

How is the exec. lounge?

A little disappointing (Although as access was given free, much appreciated). When we arrived mid-afternoon, the lounge was untidy with lots of empty/used glasses etc on tables and in the kitchen area. There was no food at all, not even crisps or biscuits, but a good selection of tea/coffee/soft drinks.

Evening canapes weren't great but there was a good selection of spirits, beer and some wine.

Breakfast was standard continental offering. Pastries were few and snatched up promptly after being replenished.

What was good and what was bad?

Good:
Welcome on arrival
Balloons in our room and a cake delivered later for birthday
Upgrade
Location
Value for money (compared to local HIE's etc.)

Bad:
Untidy Club Lounge on arrival and lack of any snacks
Minor maintenance issues in room
Very poor WiFi signal

Good value for money.

If staying on points, I would probably choose to stay at the IC PL instead.
