I would complain too. Your C+ upgrade, when available (which it was) is a published benefit of your medallion status. If they had processed the C+ upgrades first, by status, they would have had enough C- seats for the unassigned pax. Just plain stupid!
I was afraid this is what was going to happen. Must get out on time...just put standbys into the C+ seats.
