I just got off a flight where I requested one of the AAdvantage applications. Offer is for 40K miles and 2 admirals club day passes for $1K spend in 3 mos.

Terms state "Offer is not available if you have had a Citi/AAdvantage Platinum Select MasterCard opened or closed in the past 18 months"

My current WE card just converted back in February. I suspect that I would not get the bonus, but wondered if others had had success via this approach.
