How much connecting traffic does DL really have to SkyTeam partners though? I would think that most people would prefer to fly nonstop to AMS or CDG. Looking at the SkyTeam airlines at T4, all the major ones have flights to the US. I don't buy that as being the reason for DL not fully changing to T3.
Yeah, most of my connecting at LHR has been to non-ST airlines and I've had to do the inter-terminal transfer. I *have* connected to both KLM and AF but it's been for odd reasons that I can't imagine pertaining to the travel patterns of most people, and I could have taken ATL-CDG or AMS flights more conveniently. As there are no other destinations from LHR it would be a poor excuse not to move to T3.
