The problem is the posting (date). I thought the same. But, your spend Tier Credits do not post for a few days.
I believe that is the issue, and rather than coming up with a "proper" IT solution, they just exclude your daily spend from the daily tier bonus.
Now, that doesn't mean (totally my assumption) that it could not count on another day.
Day #1 you spend, spend posts Tier Credit on day #4 and you happen to also play on day #4 so that spend is part of the day #4 total tier earned (which qualifies for a daily bonus). But, not 100% sure about this. And I do not believe there is any
EXACT guarantee on what day (or how long) it takes for tier credits from spend to post.
