Even with CX's catering deterioration, they are still better than AA.
Wine: AA serves the same plonk they do in J. CX serves proper bubbles and classified Bordeaux.
Liquor: AA can't even stock proper Scotch anymore. CX does. They stock quite a few more options for aperitifs as well.
Beer: This is a wash. They both serve junk.
Food: Yeah, I'd still rather have CX with what they do now. They do a proper cheese service at the end of the meal as well.
I haven't had AA's new "Upgraded" catering, so this is all based on CX F vs AA F. If they do indeed launch this route with their new Catering, they may one-up CX. Then they would just need to install an ISM on board to ensure the staff work the flight properly.
