Any recent info on car rentals in El Calafate
We spent a week in El Calafate and El Chalten in Dec 2013. We hired a car from a local company (servicar). We had no problems with them. The car was older and the back tires were pretty bald but it ran and didn't break down on us. I have been reading some pretty bad things about this company over the last two years as well as some of the other local cos. We are headed back to El Chalten (the place is amazing!) for eight days this Dec and need a car. The bus is no good for us because I like to stop and shoot photos and we want to go up to Lago Desierto and be able and stop and fish along the way.
So, any recent info on car companies? I was thinking of Sixt as it appears that they offer unlimited mileage (Servicar gives you 200km and we will do more than double that).
