Sometimes this happens and is out of the hands of the airline - just one of those things. Best case you get a "sorry, these things happen, sir" email from Customer Affairs, worst case, they put a note on your Skywards file that you are a problem customer who complains about non-issues. No real benefit to you in writing in, I think.

Chalk it up the things that happen when flying!
