I wouldn't have guessed that there is sufficient traffic to/from DOH to support these routes.
I believe EK fly to Krabi and Chiang Mai, so there is clearly demand.
The local DOH market will have little interest, but connecting passengers (especially from Scandanavia) will find the route beneficial (as long as the prices are right).
