Not worth driving to Canada. That area of Vermont is beautiful, as is the Berkshires region of Massachusetts just south of there. Or drive north to Quechee, Vermont: the Quechee Gorge is spectacularly beautiful; lunch nearby at Simon Pearce is wonderful; and the neighboring town of Woodstock is quaint (if a tad touristy).
