Barclay takes longer than most credit cards to post both credits and debits. Especially with hotels, I suspect you'll have to wait the few days. I have had fraudulent activity with hotels (in Europe) three times with the Barclaycard (one booked through hotels.com) compared to only one ever fraudulent series of charges on my Sapphire card thanks to a skimming restaurant.
Ironically since I travel mostly to Greece, Italy, Egypt and France, all of the fraudulent charges happened in Italy. (Even the Sapphire ones.)
I'd just wait it out then call.
