I should also add, that since I travel frequently for work, I've had a couple occasions where I'm flying home from work literally the day or two before we set off for a 3-week vacation.
In those cases, those last few nights on the road are TERRIBLY slow, as it's the combination of both waiting to go home AND knowing that going home means starting off on vacation. And of course, those are also the times where there never seems to be enough time to get all the pre-trip stuff done. Only so much you can do online.
