Seriously? After hundreds and hundreds of posts on getting multiple Citi cards both personal and business to earn AA miles on this thread, some one posts here would think AA number can only attach to one CC?

And that is being the reason (no pun intended) that you think is not unreasonable? He obviously does not have such notion because all he wants to know is, whether the 18 months clause would prevent him from getting a bonus since he already has the Aviator card issued by Barclays.

That is why I bolded the very clause he brought up to show him the obvious - it is citi's rules referred to citi card.

For all the reasons he asked this question, thinking about AA number can only be with one CC is definitely NOT one of them.

He just does not know different issuers would not interfere what others doing, just like you can get a bonus from AMEX on HHonors as well as from Citi for the same thing. I am pointing out the most obvious so he could see why it does not matter.

Why would he be confused, then it is another matter. Not only that the cards not only from 2 different banks, they also dont have the same names, AND one of them, the one from Barclays, no longer is obtainable since almost a year ago. It is a bit like some folks got confused by AMEX logo on some cards not issued by AMEX with the AMEX AMEX cards.
