Also I don't think many of us (or the flight attendants) carry a reamer so the twist part is kinda difficult too although a martini is technically not impossible.
Martinis can also be poured onto ice and stirred. The trend these days is towards reducing vermouth, so I think a martini can definitely be made on the plane, but then is it just chilled gin?
