Sorry if this has been previously discussed, but I have apparently found another way around the 18 month rule. I had a Platinum that I closed last spring (in the waning weeks of the Exec heyday). This fall Ms. West was targeted for the 60K offer with no language. She's not into the hobby (but likes the perks!) so I thought why not use it myself. Sure enough, auto approval with bonus language! Since that app, my wife has received 2 more targeted offers, so I think I'm good to cancel and go again. As long as Ms. West plays hard to get and ignores them, I think I can string this out. Will update if successful.
