I had thought of it, but I'd rather not take too many risks with my GE status...
Updating my DOB took about 30 seconds at the enrollment center, so fingers crossed I'll be pre-checked on my next flights.
// Edit: apparently someone successfully did just that - wrong DOB, so they did a new GE application (no idea why they did that...), and in the meantime used their wrong GE DOB to get precheck:
