Ticket it before the change date of course. Travel needs to complete one year from the date the ticket is issued, no difference than any other AA awards ticketed in the past and probably in the future, as no FFP has ever messed with the one year validity clause, so far.

Nobody knows as AA stays numb on this. Consensus is if there is no redeposit / reclaim of award, the ticket would not be repriced. Date change apparently does not require redeposit / reclaim of awards. Note your date of travel is limited to the one year started from the date of the ticket issuance, nothing has changed on this.

Like everybody else below EXP. $150 for the first ticket and $25 for each additional ticket booked from the same account. There is no additional benefit for Plat in award travel, only EXP enjoys additional benefits.
