I too am in Dubai and surprised more people did not get in on QR Globetrotter promotion, 100,000 mile bonus is NOT the real prize.
It is the one-tier upgrade you can win, so being as expensive as EK flights can be that originate from DXB, I plan to use QR more often as a Platinum Privilege member in 2016 ;-)
